El próximo 3 de octubre John Lennon habría cumplido 65 años. No por otro motivo se ha elegido esa fecha para la edición de Working class hero – The definitive Lennon. En este mismo 2005 se conmemorará también el 25º aniversario de la muerte del músico.
The definitive Lennon pretende, como su propio título indica, ser un recopilatorio de referencia sobre la obra en solitario de Lennon. Para ello, se presenta con un listado de temas más completo que los de, por ejemplo, Lennon Legend (2003) o The John Lennon collection (1989). Son en total 38 canciones con las que se pretende dar una amplia visión de lo mejor del artista.

Por otro lado, este mismo 2005 se celbrará otro importante aniversario relacionado con John Lennon. El próximo 8 de diciembre se cumplirán 25 años de su asesinato en Nueva York. Es por tanto de esperar también todo tipo de actividades conmemorativas que irán conociéndose en breve.
