Plot Outline

The chaotic aftermath of an alien attack has left most of the world completely
incapacitated. In the six months since the initial invasion, the few survivors
have banded together outside major cities to begin the difficult task
of fighting back.

Tom Mason es un antiguo profesor de Historia de una universidad de Boston cuya familia ha quedado destrozada por la invasión. Su esposa murió durante el primer ataque, y uno de sus tres hijos fue capturado. Decidido a rescatarlo y a mantener a los otros dos a salvo, Tom tendrá que poner a prueba sus conocimientos de historia militar para convertirse en uno de los líderes del movimiento de resistencia formado por soldados y civiles que trata de rechazar la invasión alienígena.
