Jonathan and Alana Babineau were taught to play music at a very early age. During high school, Jon began to write songs and was told he should make a cd by some of his family. He began writing more and looking into studios around NH. He partnered up with his sister, Alana, to form what is now "Jon & Alana." After recording and mixing for months with Brian Templeton at Straight Street Studios, their album "Sunrise & Fire" was produced and released in August 2014.
The song, Sunrise & Fire, was one of their most popular songs among their family and friends. It was also their personal favorite. They figured it would make a great title for an album.
Months into recording, Jon wanted to add a song to the list. This song is entitled "Once." Having pretty much finished the recording part of the album, he asked to just have one mic and give him one take. The last song of the album that you hear was only played in a studio once, used one mic, one track, one take, and is the last song recorded.
