Sinopsis:
Ambientada en el Barroco, narra, con tintes fantásticos, la historia de tres reinos y sus respectivos monarcas. La de la reina de Longtrellis (Salma Hayek) y su marido (John C. Reilly), la de dos misteriosas hermanas que encienden la pasión del rey de Strongcliff (Vincent Cassel), y la del rey de Highhills (Toby Jones), obsesionado con una pulga gigante, que le lleva a romper el corazón de su joven hija. Libre adaptación de "El cuento de los cuentos", del napolitano Giambattista Basile, célebre autor de relatos cortos del siglo XVII.
