Sinopsis:
Historia de la relación entre un padre y su hija a lo largo de 25 años. Todo comienza en Nueva York en la década de los 80, donde Jake Davis (Russell Crowe), novelista ganador del Pulitzer y viudo reciente tras la muerte de su esposa, lucha contra una enfermedad mental al tiempo que intenta criar a su hija de cinco años.
